Single – Die

11th of April 2025

Life’s a bitch and then you die. Or maybe it just constitutes of a lot of damned Work before you finally can be allowed to just Die. And as today is also Lizette’s birthday we celebrate this by releasing their second single “Die” from the upcoming album “LaQueer”. With an accompanying video shot at the legendary Chelsea Hotel because if there’s a place to live and die as a nostalgic New York-romantic this is it. The song and video touches on a theme which has fascinated and highly affected Lizette’s creative expression for years. The thought of deciding on a final date and then driving off the cliff. There’s nothing left to lose. All that remains is the present. Let’s fuck up til’ the end. Is it a pleasurable sense of freedom or just tragic agony?

Filmed and edited by the local talent Suz Murray and Chris Wronka with music produced by Lizette’s faithful sidekick Gabriel Wagnberg. This video, like the previous one, features Lizette’s New York-best friend, the performance artist, producer and DJ, Vile Sanchez. A great inspiration for Lizette in later years.

Lizette’s previous albums Queerbody, Non and Miss Gendered have through the years been praised and acknowledged by among others Billboard, Queerty, Swedish and British QX, PSL, P3 and Nöjesguiden.

Single – Work

7th March 2025

To work yourself to death without seeing the smallest of result, to work yourself into ruin. A workaholics biggest nightmare and each and every day for an indie musician. “Is this the time to retire? Or should I just give it ONE more shot? One last album?”

These are some of the questions which plagues many a musician not least among them being Lizette. But if you have once injected the drug it’s difficult to stop. It may even lead to your death.

“Work” is the first single with an accompanying music video from Lizette’s fourth album “LaQueer” which will be released later this spring. In the video we see Lizette as a stressed out yuppie club kid in the Mecca of workaholics; Wall Street, New York. The brick phone never stops ringing, Lizette runs around in circles until everything goes down the big city drain. Filmed and edited by the local talents Peter Pavlakis and Chris Wronka. The song was produced by Lizette’s faithful sidekick Gabriel Wagnberg.

The video also features Lizette’s New York-best friend, the performance artist, producer and DJ, Vile Sanchez. A great inspiration for Lizette in later years. The video will be premiered at Paper Magazine.

Lizette’s previous albums Queerbody, Non and Miss Gendered have through the years been praised and acknowledged by among others Billboard, Queerty, Swedish and British QX, PSL, P3 and Nöjesguiden.

Album – Miss Gendered

19th of June 2022

Incarnating a sinister George Michael in the 90s, Lizette Lizette shares stage with vouge dancers, performance artists and innovative projections. Recovering from their wildely praised performance at Wave Gotik Treffen, Lizette Lizette releases their third album – a soft joyride through their dark, emotional and airy Muzak.

The album is titled Miss Gendered and Lizette explains the story behind it: “Even though I’ve made a big deal about being queer and non-binary through my music and art continues media, journalists and individuals to misgender me. I’ve released an album called “Queerbody”, an album called “NON”, released a song and a video called “Non” where the chorus reads “You wanna call me a girl, you wanna call me a Woman, I am Non”. Despite this, people have a hard time to admit that I am non-binary and that my pronoun is “they / them”. From there, the idea of naming my upcoming and third album to “Miss Gendered” was born. And based on that, the whole concept was created of making a song with the same name that is a long thank you speech and a video that takes place on a beauty contest where me and a bunch of queers, drag queens, dragkings, clubkids, dancers and bodybuilders compete for the title “Miss Gendered”. As if that was a desired title. “

Lizette Lizette has since their debut album “Queerbody” in 2017 had a steadily growing fan base, in their home country Sweden but also in Germany and the USA. In February 2019, Lizette Lizette released their second album “NON”, praised by Swedish and British QX as well as all possible sources such as Billboard, BON Magazine, Aftonbladet Musik, Zero Magazine and Pop Justice.

Single – You Lied

20th of May 2022

Lizette Lizette has since their debut album “Queerbody” in 2017 had a steadily growing fan base, in their home country Sweden but also in Germany and the USA. In February 2019, Lizette Lizette released their second album “NON”, praised by Swedish and British QX as well as all possible sources such as Billboard, BON Magazine, Aftonbladet Musik, Zero Magazine and Pop Justice.

Recently signed to the swedish alt. pop label Icons Creating Evil Art, they now release the single “You Lied” from their upcoming new album due to be released this year.

Talking about the new single, Lizette says: ””You Lied’” is the other side of the previous single ”Scorpio”. Scorpio was the anger, You Lied is the sadness and betrayal. They are both about the same event when I realized to never trust a right wing woter. I chose to portray this song in a queer stripclub, with my dear friends Leffe Crumlove as a filthy businessman expecting to buy sex from the exotic dancer Butcher Queen, who finally gets the revenge I’ve been longing for.

Lizette Lizette shares stage with vouge dancers, performance artists and innovative projections. They describe their cool, deep sound as “if Enya went to Berghain”. The live shows are remarkable and in 2019, Lizette made several acclaimed performances, including support to the mega-hyped synth phenomenon Kite.

Everything is over – I want to die – now I accelerate over the edge to the precipice. It is a complex and contradictory feeling, because once you get to the point where you have nothing to lose anymore, you realize how free you can be, that everything is suddenly possible and how wonderful life really is. So how will it be then? It is a state of mind I want to continue exploring for a while longer. ”

Single – Born to make you happy

30th of October 2020

Britney Spears has now been under legal guardianship for 12 years. Her dad says that she has dementia and cannot take care of herself, her career or her economy. Meanwhile he forces her to perform in Las Vegas regularly and to do world tours. Right now she is in the midst of longwinded court proceedings where she is fighting for the control of her own life. Not long ago her request to hire her own attorneys was approved and her next proceeding will take place the 10th of November.

Britney Spears was one of my first idols and it is much thanks to her that I am creating and performing music today. She has inspired me since her debut in 1999 and she is a living icon who deserves to be treated so much better by the media and the world than she has been during all these years. My interpretation of “Born to make you happy” has been chosen in regards to her current situation. Was Britney really born just to make her dad, her record company and team “happy”? My fans have always called med Goth Britney and this is a tribute and my contribution of support to her during this difficult time. #FREEBRITNEY

During the last two years Lizette’s career has had a blossoming. The album ‘Non’ was released in the beginning of 2019 and was praised by Tina Mehrafzoon (P3), Nöjesguiden, Billboard and Fredrik Strage who compared Lizette with Madonna during TV4 Nyhetsmorgon. Scorpio – Single

28th of February 2020

For those who know anything about astrology, it is an accepted fact that you should never fuck with a Scorpio, because then you can count on a really sneaky revenge that will drag on for a long time. However, it can be harder to predict if the person in question is a Moon Scorpio, aka. a “Scorpio in disguise”. A nit a certain rightwing man in Lizette’s life happened to walk on. The single “Scorpio” is based on a pretty gross betrayal that took place in the spring of 2019 and is the result of all the accumulated anger and disappointment. It could also serve as a small, small hint about what this rightwing man has to expect in the future.

The inspiration for the video comes from the 90s film “The Craft” and the sea scenes with Fairuza Balk (Nancy) and is directed by Lizette herself and filmed and edited by Nora Cederin, who has also been involved in the videos for “Junk” and “Trendslav”.

Lizette’s career has flourished in the past year. Single – Junk

13th of Mars 2019

‘Junk’ is about holding on to your emotional garbage and lose yourself among it and be devoured in it.  Destructive thought loops which stops one from seeing things clearly and that makes one see reality through a dark filter. The song was first written by Nicklas Stenemo (Kite) but got picked up by Lizette in the later stage of the production. Lizette decided in the last minute to discard another song in favor of this one. The video for ‘Junk’ was created by Nora Cederin and has its premiere at Billboard Pride the 13th of Mars and will co-occur with a long interview.

This autumn the first single ‘Void’ was released, which had its premiere on PSL and the video made such an impression that it was used in SVT’s music advertising. The purpose is to shine a light on the non-binary persons in our society. Some calls them imaginary, others think it’s all nonsense while the media misgenders non-binary persons all the time, including Lizette. Non is an anthem to all non-binary people all over the world. The song is the most danceable track on the whole album and is inspired by voguing-music and 90’s dance music. Single – Computer Game

23th of November 2018

Friday the 13th of October 2017 Lizette lost thier best friend and soul mate to cancer. Lizette met Stephanie when they went to high school. One of them studied music and was a synth fanatic while the other studied art and was a glam rocker but they both had one thing in common – they romanticized the 80s.
Before Stephanie Lizette had not had anything akin to a social life and had instead in isolation created music and practiced other interests. Steph was very sociable and did practically know everyone within the alternative-community in Stockholm regardless of subculture, and thus a new world had been opened for Lizette.
During all the years that went by the bond between them remained strong even when they did not live in the same country. But it grew ever so strong when Stephanie was diagnosed with cancer in 2012 and they both moved back to Stockholm after living in Berlin and London, respectively. The time that followed they spent having deep conversations about life and death and they took time to do everything they had wanted to do together. The last months of Stephanie’s life she needed a lot of help with daily routines and Lizette spent a lot of time by her side. One morning when they awake, Steph has a lot of trouble breathing and they must call the ambulance. Whilst being carried in to the ambulance, Steph waves to Lizette and thanks for all the help. This will be the last time they see each other. Computer Game is dedicated to and revolves around Stephanie and a very special friendship which have fundamentally shaped Lizette in to becoming the person they is.

Lizette Lizette has since the release of the debut album Queerbody had a steadily growing fan base in Sweden, Germany and the US, among others the New York club legend Susanne Bartsch, as well as Per Sinding Larsen and Fredrik Strage. P3 Musikguiden, Aftonbladet, Bon Magazine, Gaffa, German Kaltblut Magazine and the British music blog Pop Justice have also praised the non-binary artist who recently had great success in captivating the German festival audience at NCN Festival in Leipzig.

Single – Void

Cover Void5th of October 2018

Swedish/peruvian Lizette Lizette has since the release of zir debut album ”Queerbody ” had a steadily growing fan base in Sweden, Germany and the US, among others the renowned music critic Fredrik Strage and the New York club legend Susanne Bartsch. Aftonbladet, Bon Magazine, Gaffa and the British music blog Pop Justice have also praised the non-binary artist who recently had great success in captivating the German festival audience at NCN Festival in Leipzig.

The first single “Void” sounds as if Enya went to Berghain and is about fighting an uphill battle, failing, and giving up. The desperation and frustration which is induced after constantly being rejected and ignored as an artist. And with a broken confidence and self-worth finally being driven to a void filled by suicidal thoughts. After having tried regression therapy, sessions with spiritual mediums, and good old fashioned psychiatric care, Lizette finally cracked the code singlehandedly. Stop caring so much, stop trying so damn hard. During all these years, ze had taken music far too seriously, almost making it a matter of life or death. Something which killed the passion for it and began to make it all about accomplishments and validation.

Ironically, the biggest challenge of them all came just before this single- release. As of this spring, it was stated that several record labels and one of Sweden’s biggest PR-companies would be involved in all upcoming releases. It was a rare feeling to for the first time feel ”accepted” by a part of the music industry. But as lightning from a clear blue sky all those plans went up in smoke, with only two weeks to spare. Therefore, Lizette is yet again ready to independently release and promote several singles and videos, and finally the second album, ”NON”, which will be released in the beginning of 2019.

Single – Trendslav

Cover 21st of October 2017
Only a year ago, Lizette had never thought of releasing a song written in Swedish, but hir saw no other choice when the single Trendslav came to hir as a spur-of-the-moment idea.
”Trendslav” deals with cultural and subcultural appropriation, mindless compliance and the assertive role of consumer society.
Even though Lizette goes out hard on others, ze also remains critical to hir own life choices with the line “bindi on the forehead”; an ornament which Lizette wore in the early days.
The music video is inspired by 90s movies The Craft and The Doom Generation. Also starring in the video are Lizette’s live musicians Lisa Pyk and Aili Markelius.
In November last year, Lizette released the first-single “Rest”. It made an immediate and successful impact and the song was awarded a spot in both the respective “top songs of 2016” lists of Zero Magazine and Popmuzik. It was also praised by Fredrik Strage who wrote: “Last week, Leigh Bowery apparently came down from the skies and gave a breast- themed jacket to the new shooting star Lizette Lizette. Respect.” Thereafter came the second single, ”Easy Street”, which also managed to impress and was subsequently picked up by the British music-blogger Pop Justice and by P5. Then finally came the awaited album “Queerbody”, which according to BON Magazine, Aftonbladet music and Zero Magazine, managed to live up to expectations. This was celebrated at a full-packed Taverna Brillo; the love was flowing and the mood was on top.
The latest single “Sober up” was released earlier this summer and quickly became the most popular single to date. The release also exposed hir to a bigger audience, as the rest of the world has begun to take notice of Lizette.

Single – Sober Up

1st of June 2017COVER

Sober up was at first a demo song made by Nicklas Stenemo, intended for Kite, which then got picked up by Lizette instead, who took it up on hirself to complete it. The tentative guide vocals of the demo hinted a theme of ambivalent love experienced on a night out which set Lizette on the path of finalizing the narrative. The theme of the lyrics lead to the creation of a very sexy music video based around a walk of shame with events at a fetish club flashing through the camera lens. The video was created by Giannina Panfichi and Lizettes’s lover is played by Leffe Crumlove aka. Felicia Kronlöf.

This last year has been a great success for Lizette, and the streak really began last year in November when Lizette released the first-single Rest. It made an immediate and successful impact. The video got 18.000 views in just one week and the song was awarded a spot in both the respective top songs of 2016 lists of Zero Magazine and Popmuzik. It was also praised by Fredrik Strage who wrote Last week, Leigh Bowery apparently came down from the skies and gave a breast-themed jacket to the new shooting star Lizette Lizette. Respect.

There after came the second single Easy Street which also managed to impress and was subsequently picked up by the British music-blogger Pop Justice and by P5. Then finally came the awaited album Queerbody, which according to BON Magazine, Aftonbladet music and Zero Magazine managed to live up to expectations.

In May, Lizette’s wishes came true when ze had the privilege of sharing the evening with Danish band First Hate at Obaren in Stockholm.

The release-party is held the 1st of June at Kåken, Stockholm.

Album – Queerbody

18th of January 2017Cover

Three years, a depression and a scrapped album later, Lizette’s debut album is finally here. The album title is also the name of the genre that Lizette has created within an otherwise relatively cis- gendered and male dominated genre.

The oldest songs, “Freak” and “Scapegoat”, were created during Lizette’s transformation period in which she went from eurodisco and rave to the current more synth-based sound. “Freak” is a scream of frustration over constantly feeling misunderstood and “wrong”, while “Scapegoat” is a soundtrack of acceptance to that exact same feeling and state of being. In both songs, one can hear Lizette’s earlier influences.

The song “Slow” was the only track from the scrapped album that survived and came to work as a compass for finding the new direction of Lizette’s sound. “All you stole” is the most personal song on the record and it deals with an enormous betrayal that happened to Lizette some years ago. It was also this song which was the first one to capture Nicklas Stenemo’s interest and lead to their collaboration. The last song to be placed on the album was “Future” which at first was an old beat- track created by the other half of Kite, Christian Berg.

The two remaining songs “Rest” and “Easy street” were released as singles and the first single, “Rest”, made an immediate and successful impact and was also praised by Fredrik Strage, among others, who wrote “Last week, Leigh Bowery apparently came down from the skies and gave a breast themed jacket to the new shooting star Lizette Lizette. Respect”. The second single, ”Easy Street”, also managed to impress and was subsequently picked up by the British music-blogger Pop Justice which helped to give it a wider broadcast and spreading.

The release party is held at Taverna Brillo 18/1.

Single – Easy Street

6th of January 2017

es-coverThe song Easy street was from the beginning just a forgotten demo that laid neglected in Kite-singer Nicklas Stenemo’s old dusty hard drive.
By a lucky chance Lizette got to hear it and became infatuated with it at once and fortunately received a carte blanche to make it hirs own.

At the time when writing the lyrics for Easy street, Lizette was frustrated with hirs state of affairs. Years of failures that had piled higher was tearing like never before on the result driven and competitive Lizette. Therefore there was nothing else to do than to write a song about the brutal bitterness and envy hir felt for those who never seemed to have needed to struggle for anything in life.

In the video of Easy street, the ugly faces of bitterness and jealousy are represented as the small frightened feelings they really are . Besides Lizette, also appearing in the video is two of the most fabulous club-kids in Stockholm, Leffe Crumlove and Butcher Queen.

Last year in November, Lizette released the first single, Rest, of the upcoming album Queerbody. Rest made an immediate and successful impact. The video got 18.000 views in just one week and the song were named in both the respective “top songs of 2016” lists of Zero Magazine and Popmuzik. It was also praised by Fredrik Strage who wrote “Last week, Leigh Bowery apparently came down from the skies and gave a breast-themed jacket to the new shooting star Lizette Lizette. Respect”

The album Queerbody is released the 18th of January and the release-party is held at Taverna Brillo.

Single – Rest feat. Nicklas Stenemo

rest

November 21th 2016

Lizette has since her childhood meditated on the mysteries of life and has found a belief in the occult. The song “Rest” is a surrender to life and its path of destiny, something hir decided to do after realizing that some things are not meant to be regardless of how hard one pushes and tries. Sometimes, you have to loosen your control, lean back and trust that life will take you where you need to be.
”Rest” is the first single from the upcoming debut album, ”Queerbody”, which has been co- produced by Nicklas Stenemo (Kite, Nicole Sabouné). In this song, he also contributes with his distinctive voice. Inspired by old New Beat-acts from Belgium like In-D and Split Second, they’ve created a sound of their own that they’ve chosen to call “queerbody”. The sound has its roots in the synth-genre but it is at the same time a statement by Lizette Lizette against it, criticizing the traditional synth-genre for being conservative and male-dominated. The sound is created when Lizette Lizette combines the traditional synth-genre with pop-melodies representing a queer-perspective.
The debut album is released the 18th of January and the release party takes place at Taverna Brillo in Stockholm.

Single – Fuck it up

September 17th 2015

Artists and music-producers Lizette and Gabriel decided on a cold November night to collaborate musically. The creativity was flowing and out of it came a new song and a new music video to go with it. This song, Fuck It Up, communicates a frustration over the firm grip which capitalism has over society. In the music-video we see Gabriel playing a shopaholic who’s just been dumped by a providing sugar-daddy which results in catastrophic consequences. Lizette’s character is on the other hand tired of “flippin’ burgers” and decides that enough is enough. As they both now stand empty handed without means to live they decide to take drastic measures and collaborate. Gabriel is studying at Musikmakarna and has after a year there already managed to get involved in a new ambitious project as a member of Australian based duo Peta and the Wolves. He has previously released the EP “Elements” and has also written and produced many songs with fellow songwriters. Lizette has newly returned from the US after a couple of week’s touring while having before that released a handful of singles, a critically well received EP and the much talked-about music-video “Freak”. Having also opened to the British rapper Example, the experience gave some inspiration to rap in the new song. Fuck It Up combines Lizette’s pulsating basslines and critical viewpoints on society with Gabriel’s atmospheric pads and queer lyrics.

Single – Freak

June 16th 2014

Having previously released the single “Wheel of fortune”, which aired on several radio stations across Britain, and the debut-ep
“Raveland”, which was lauded by British critics, the artist and producer Lizette Lizette is now unleashing a new single called
“Freak”.
This release does not only feature a brand new song with several remixes but also a well invested music video!
While living in London the artist experienced many sleepless nights, many of which the artist spent watching old reruns of Ricki Lake and Jenny Jones.
It was during one of these nights that the first seeds of the whole project sprung up. A vision of a music video set within a talk-show, and conveniently there were already one of Lizette’s (unrecorded?) songs that fit perfectly within the concept.
The song “Freak” is a three minute long outburst of irony and sarcasm which was written as early as 2010 as a result of the frustration which Lizette felt over always being defined as weird and abnormal.
In spite of having a complete vision of how the music video would look like, Lizette had some worries that the idea would be too difficult to make real, but within a few months, Lizette got in contact with the video director Emerson Berglund and the vision actually began to take shape.
Starring as the talk-show host we find comedian Johan Wahlström. In the video, his straight-man “Springeresque” host acts as a sharp contrast to the talk-show guests; a colorful ensemble of club-kids lead by none other than the misunderstood “freak” in question, Lizette Lizette!

EP – Raveland

Following the success of her first single ‘Wheel of Fortune’, Swedish dance-pop sensation Lizette Lizette is readying the release of the much anticipated EP ‘Raveland’.

A self-described ‘meta-ironic plastic rebel’, Lizette is questioning many of the norms of modern day society through her music. The five-track ‘Raveland’ EP, which includes the aforementioned single, does just this. Continuing Lizette’s intriguing musical journey, the EP combines the best of influential old school techno, acid house, electronica and pop. A multi-talented artist, Lizette produces and sings all her own material, as well as playing regular DJ gigs. Her flourishing career has already seen her support Example in Stockholm, as part of his European Tour, and be a part of Andy A’s music project ‘The New Heaven Dieppe’. Creating her own musical niche, Lizette’s fun sound is grounded in her spiritual view and distinctly individual approach to life.

‘New Life (My Sweet Escape)’ continues in the vein of lead single ‘Wheel of Fortune’. It is richly melodic, upbeat and dance-friendly piece. The infectious chorus rings out with the line ‘my sweet escape, my sweet escape to a new life’. ‘Keep Walking Alone’ takes the tempo down slightly, highlighting Lizette’s production skills in her restraint and sound choice. Her distant vocals give the track a melancholic edge. Title track ‘Raveland’ is a similarly club focussed track which is sure to be a hit. Elsewhere, ‘Universe’ is perhaps the most ambitious track on the EP. The eerie song opening moves quickly into a pulsing bass line, allowing

Lizette’s vocals to shine above. Her cries of ‘universe’ mark the drop, whereby a slower, more complex beat is introduced. Evoking a range of Lizettes influences such as Leila K, Lady Miss Kier (Deee-Lite) and Pandora, Lizette’s music sits somewhere between Die Antwood, Fever Ray and the rave era.

‘Inspired by old school techno, electronica and eurodance….with a very deep and spiritual message’

Introducing Swedish born artist, singer, producer and DJ Lizette with the release of her debut single ‘Wheel of Fortune’. Thi

s eclectic mix and vibrant sounds make Lizette Lizette the newest and most fashionable dance act about to hit the stage…so London watch out!!

The stunning singer Lizette has been producing and writing all her own material since graduating. ‘I’m designing my own b

and and my own music’. She describes herself as incredibly spiritual and spent a long time working to develop her own unique sound.

‘Wheel of Fortune’ is inspired by old school techno, electronica, acid house and eurodance, mixed together with very deep and spiritual messages. Her vision for the single is to inspire people to follow their dreams and take their chances while they can, instead of following the crowd and living their lives solely to please others.

Before becoming a solo artist, Lizette was the singer in Andy A’s new music project ‘The New Heaven Dieppe’. After learning a lot from the music industry she decided to pursue her solo career. During this time people started to request her to DJ, and she is now known as ‘Stockholm’s 90’s DJ.

Lizette’s first performance as a solo artist in her home town of Stockholm was supporting British artist/rapper Example as part of his European Tour. After that she continued to play all over Stockholm’s best clubs, and by chance she even got to perform in front of Lenny Kravitz at the club F12. She is also close friends and neighbours with Swedish band Niki & the Dove who are hugely supportive of Lizettes musical talents.
